Welcome to YMCA Youth & Family Services Youth & Family Services is the social services department of the YMCA of San Diego County. We have been building strong children, strong families, and strong communities for more than 35 years. In fact, we are one of the leading YMCA social services departments in the nation. Through our wide array of programs and services, we provide the education and prevention tools to support and strengthen families in our community.		Major projects of YMCA Youth & Family Services: Community Collaborations (Community-based partnerships throughout San Diego County) Family Stress Counseling Services (Child abuse prevention and treatment, individual, couple and family counseling) Independent Living Services (ILS) (Transitional living assistance for young adults trying to become self-sufficient and independent) Prevention and Education Services (Support programs for youth during and after school as well as youth in the juvenile justice systems) Shelter Services (Youth shelter with family counseling) School Outreach Services (After-school youth development programs)
